What should I do if a tooth is knocked out?

Pick it up by the crown without touching the root; if it is dirty, rinse it briefly in milk or saline without scrubbing. Keep it in milk and call us immediately: the sooner we see it, the better the chance of saving it.

What can I do about toothache on the way?

You can take the painkiller you normally use, following the leaflet, and apply something cold to the outside of your cheek. Do not put aspirin on the gum or apply heat.

Do you see emergencies out of hours?

We see emergencies during clinic opening hours. Outside these hours, if you have significant swelling, a fever or difficulty swallowing or breathing, go to a medical emergency service.

Do you treat tourists and visitors?

Yes. We see residents and visitors in English, Spanish, German, Swedish and Portuguese.
